The Post-2015 Development Agenda will be discussed in Moscow

The High-Level Expert Seminar "The Post-2015 Development Agenda: towards a new partnership for development", organized in the framework of the Russia's G8 Presidency in cooperation with UN Development Programme (UNDP) and the World Bank, will be held in Moscow on March 12, 2014. The event will be attended by expert's community, civil society, private sector and government from G8 countries, as well as by experts from other countries and representatives of the international organizations, including UNDP, the World Bank and the OECD.

The Seminar will discuss preliminary outcomes of the Post-2015 UN processes, the G8 contribution to the Post-2015 Agenda and the broader development finance issues. The Seminar will generate concrete recommendations for integrating the Post-2015 Development Agenda into the discussions under the Russia's G8 Presidency in 2014.

The G8 has always prioritized development issues in its agenda. The G8 members individually and collectively have made considerable contribution to the attainment of the MDGs, adopted in 2000. As the UN and its partners work to define a new global framework and development goals beyond 2015, the G8 members are actively engaged in the process.
