Russian Finance Minister Satisfied with G8 Ministerial MeetingMoscow, February 11. Russian Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin expressed satisfaction with the results of the G8 finance ministers’ meeting completed in Moscow earlier today. “I am content with the outcome of the meeting,” he told reporters in Moscow. “There was an animated debate on some issues.” The finance ministers of G8 member states met in Moscow earlier on Saturday to prepare for the G8 summit in St. Petersburg and to discuss the impact of energy markets upon global economy, further steps for the development agenda, and the economic aspects of global effort against infectious diseases. Russian President Vladimir Putin is expected to meet the ministers later today at the Kremlin.
