Chinese leader invited to G8 summit in St. Petersburg

China has been invited to participate in discussions on the agenda of the July 2006 G8 summit in St. Petersburg.

“China and several other countries have been invited to attend discussions on the agenda of the St. Petersburg summit,” Russian Presidential Aide Sergei Prikhodko told journalists.

He expressed hope that China would accept the invitation.
