Putin calls G8 increasingly open and democratic

Russian President Vladimir Putin said the G8 is "becoming increasingly open and democratic" as he met with the G8 parliamentary leaders in the Black Sea resort of Sochi on Sunday.

"The process of further democratization is gaining momentum; we welcome it and will rely on it in the future," he said.
