The G8 Foreign Ministers' Meeting will take place on June 29, 2006, at the Foreign Ministry Mansion (Spiridonovka st. 17).

Forming of national pools for protocol photo and video recording of the Meeting

Due to security reasons and room constraints, the press service of the MFA of Russia will form a pool of journalists which will include two persons (one cameraman and one photographer) from each of the G8 States to participate in protocol shoots of the arrival of G8 foreign ministers’ delegations to the meeting, beginning of the meeting and ministers’ collective photo session. National pool members will be designated by press secretaries of the G8 foreign ministers on the understanding that these pool members will provide the recorded materials to all interested national media.

Information regarding the composition of national pools is to be delivered by the G8 embassies in Moscow to the Press Center of the Russian MFA by June 15.

Journalists included in the pool are to arrive at the Foreign Ministry Mansion by 9:30 a.m. on June 29.

Accreditation for the press conference

Press conference on the outcome of the G8 Foreign Ministers' Meeting will take place at the "President Hotel" on June 29, 2006, from 3:30 to 4:00 p.m.

To take part in the press conference, journalists must be accredited. It is necessary to fill out the application form below and send it to midg8@mid.ru by June 15.

The maximum number of journalists to be accredited will be 300 (150 foreign and 150 Russian journalists). The list of the accredited journalists will be published in this section of the MFA web site.

The accredited journalists are kindly requested to come to the "President Hotel" on June 29 between 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. for registration and issuance of accreditation badges. In order to be registered, Russian journalists will need to produce an ID issued by their editorial office and a passport. Foreign journalists accredited to the MFA of Russia will need to produce their MFA accreditation card and a passport; foreign journalists not accredited to the MFA of Russia will need to produce the original of the letter of application for accreditation from their editorial office or an ID issued by their editorial office, and a passport. On arrival, journalists and their equipment will undergo a standard screening procedure by the security service; this may take additional time.
