WORKING MEETINGS SUMMIT2006

Energy ministers of the G8 countries will meet in the President Hotel in Moscow on March 16.

The meeting is to be attended also by their counterparts from Brazil, India, China, Mexico, and South Africa, as well as by representatives of the World Bank, the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the International Energy Agency (IEA), and the International Energy Forum.

The meeting’s agenda includes sessions on global energy security, energy efficiency and energy saving.

Viktor Khristenko, Russia’s Minister of Industry and Energy, will hold a news conference on the results of the meeting.

Accreditation of media representatives will end on March 10, 2006.
