Customs FormalitiesTo be able to bring professional equipment into the customs territory of Russia, foreign correspondents should have an A.T.A. Carnet for the equipment from the issuing association of the country where they perform their professional duties. The A.T.A. Carnet is accepted by the customs agencies of Russia as the customs declaration and an international guarantee of the payment of customs duties, provided it names the issuing association and the international guaranteeing network, is filled in accordance with the stipulated procedure by the issuing association and the holder of the A.T.A. Carnet, as well as duly handled and registered by the customs agency of the country of origin. The issuing associations of countries signatory of the 1961 Customs Convention on the A.T.A. Carnet for the temporary admission of goods and the 1990 Convention on Temporary Admission should enter on the front page of the A.T.A. Carnet the name of the Russian Federation and the guaranteeing association . the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Russia. The A.T.A. Carnet shall be presented to the customs agencies upon the importation of professional equipment by foreign correspondents into the customs territory of Russia.
