Journalists will cover summit events in pools.
Media representatives will be informed about opportunities to cover summit events through their national delegation's liaison officers. In addition, this information will be broadcast on the information channel of the International Media Center closed-circuit TV network. You may also address all questions concerning pool functioning to the Info desk in the Printed press working area.
Each pool covering a particular summit event will be issued a number. Journalists authorized to work in a pool will be given a yellow pool card specifying the pool number. The pool list is available at the Information Desk in the Press Area. The pool card is valid only with the accreditation badge and should be attached below it.
Pool cards are distributed by the national delegations' liaison officers in limited numbers. Requests to include media representatives in a particular pool should be addressed to the national delegation's press office. Cards for the majority of pools are also available at the Information Desk in the IMC.
Before proceeding to the event, participating journalists should gather at the Pool Meeting Area.
Pool meeting times will be announced both by the national delegations' liaison officers and on the information channel of the International Media Center closed-circuit TV network. It is recommended that participating journalists come to the Pool Meeting Area a few minutes before the announced time. Arriving late is not allowed and will be interpreted as the journalist's refusal to work in the pool.
Participating journalists will be taken to their workplace by a minibus accompanied by an Organizing Committee Media Division officer and a security officer. Coming to the pool workplace unaccompanied is not allowed.
Departure for each pool is only possible from the IMC.
The host broadcaster provides shooting and live broadcasting of images at all summit events open to the media (detailed information is available in the chapter "Summit Program and Media Opportunities").
The host broadcaster generates the international signal broadcast on the International Media Center closed-circuit TV network and also to TV and radio booths in the Broadcaster's Area. The TV signal is available both in the SD 4:3 and HD 1080i/50 16:9 formats.
The host broadcaster is responsible for booking stand-up positions and ensuring signal transmission from stand-up positions to international communication lines.

The Host photo agency photographs all summit events open to the media (detailed information is available in the chapter "Summit Program and Media Opportunities").
Photo host's pictures are promptly posted on the official web site of the Russian Federation's G8 Presidency at http://www.g8russia.ru//Images/G8.
You may view the photos on the web site and download any of them free of charge in high resolution.
